After what Dominique told me about the plan Tyree blackmailed my mom into, I called up Riana and Shawn to have them meet me and Brit at my parents’ house. Since I now know the truth, it was time to confront my mom about it. Now, she no longer has to hide what she was doing for us.

Riana stared at me while I was outside the house explaining to her, Shawn, and Britney what Dominique told me. Riana was speechless while Shawn looked as if he wanted to punch something.

“What the hell? He’s messing with the wrong people right now. He knows I can expose all the dirt he has done, doesn’t he?” Shawn asked.

“He knows, but he wants revenge so bad he’ll do anything to get it.”

“So this all stems down to what happened that night at the party and Damien being killed? That was his fault what happened. No one told him to hop into a car drunk and crash into a tree,” Riana said.

“Well, Tyree didn't get the memo.”

“I can’t believe Dominique would be involved in this. This doesn’t sound like her,” Riana said.

“She was pissed off with Zack for being with Mariah. I know that sounds petty, but that was her reason,” I said.

“Which could have gotten all of us killed. She couldn’t have given a heads up or something?” Britney asked.

“She was scared to since Tyree caused the accident which led to her miscarriage. That and she thinks he killed Paul.”

“This is nuts. First there was Alicia terrorizing Kevin and Carla, and now this. When will the crazies go find something else to do and leave everyone alone?” Britney said.

“This is what happens when you’re in the public eye. I’m sorry I put you all into this,” I said.

“This is not your fault, Jay. Tyree is still feeling some type of way with Damien’s death and he's using you and Zack to blame. That was an accident. Nothing more or less,” Riana said.

I sighed and knocked on the door. We might as well get this over with. Marc opened the door as he gave me a defeated look. Something else must have happened.

“What’s wrong?”

“Come in,” he said, opening the door wide for us to walk in. We went into the living room and saw my mom sitting on the couch. She gave us all a sad look before we sat down.

“Okay, you both are scaring me. What is going on?” Riana asked.

“I just received a call. Turns out there was an anonymous tip regarding what happened with Zack. They know the truth, Jay. I was fired for my part in covering up what happened.”

“Wow, Marc, I’m really sorry.”

“It’s okay. I knew this would happen, but a part of me wished it wouldn’t have come out. The team is already under a lot of scrutiny, they won’t be able to recover after this.”

“What are you going to do now?” Shawn asked.

“I don’t know. Maybe I’ll try to get my job back at Shaw, but they probably won’t even hire me.
